Lio is a Syrian premium food brand founded in 2000 by Mr. Bilal Ibrahim, owned by Metro Trading Company (Latakia, Syria) with a Turkish sales office in Mersin. Starting from a single product, the brand grew to more than 80 canned food and beverage items under the slogan 'Be Different'. Products are made in ISO 22000 certified factories (sister manufacturing company: Sindyan Company for Food Manufacturing, opened ~2018, plus a coffee factory added ~4 years later), contain no preservatives or colorings, and are sanitized in autoclave systems. Core Syrian-made lines include tomato paste, canned vegetables/legumes, pickles, jams, pomegranate molasses, olive oil and ground coffee; complementary lines are imported from world-class suppliers in Thailand (tuna, pineapple), Morocco (sardines), Sri Lanka (Ceylon tea), Lebanon (halva, tahini, grape leaves), India (basmati rice), Malaysia (condensed milk), Spain/Russia/Italy (rice), Turkey/Ukraine (sunflower oil) and KSA (dates). Lio exports to 20+ countries including the UAE, USA, Canada and Europe.
