The house behind the catalogue
Levant Direct is a Toronto-area importer and wholesale supplier of Levantine pantry goods —238 products from eight family producer houses across Palestine, Syria, Jordan, Türkiye and Egypt, sold by the case and in bulk to businesses and households across the Greater Toronto Area.
البداية How it started
Levant Direct began with a shelf-level frustration. Across the GTA, the staples of the Levantine kitchen — za’atar, tahini, halawa, olives, Aleppo soap — mostly arrive through layers of importers and repackers, sold under anonymous labels that say nothing about the mill, bakery or soap house that actually made them. Anyone who grew up with these goods knows the difference; anyone buying them for a restaurant, a grocery shelf or a family pantry deserves to know who made what they're buying.
So WRPM Canada Inc. built a catalogue that works the other way around. We went directly to the producers — a spice mill run by a Palestinian family from Jaffa, a halawa house pressing to a 1936 Damascus recipe, a soap maker stamping bars the way Aleppo has for generations — and put their names on every product. Eight houses, five countries, one catalogue, opened in 2026 under the name Levant Direct.
One thing we deliberately left out: retail price tags. Wholesale and bulk buying doesn't work at sticker prices — quantities, formats and rates are a conversation. So instead of a checkout, the catalogue ends in an inquiry: build your list, send it once, and we come back with a written quotation, usually within one business day.

We import and supply wholesale — whole cases, cartons, tubs, tins and bulk bags rather than single retail units. Restaurants and shawarma houses stock their pantries here; grocers and specialty retailers fill their shelves; bakeries, cafés, spas and salons buy their ingredients and soap by the carton. And households are welcome too — many of our lines suit a family stocking its pantry in bulk the traditional way, a case at a time.
